    • npm's current granular tokens are stage only: a direct npm publish from CI
      is rejected with EOTP. .forgejo/workflows/publish-npmjs.yml now uses
      npm stage publish (npm 12 on Node 24) and a maintainer approves the staged
      version with 2FA (npm stage approve <stage-id> or the package page on
      npmjs). The release stays gated by the same tag/version check and
      npm run check.
    • 0.8.4 is the first version staged for public npmjs; approving it creates and
      claims the unscoped dsh-gitea package.
